If you’ve already got your Chase Utley tee, consider this: “For those who feel a connection to certain writers or characters—be it Walt Whitman’s expansive exultations, Huck Finn’s mischievous morality, or Bartleby’s inscrutable insubordination—these super-soft, jersey-style tees are the way to ‘wear your read.’”

Watered Down Fringe
This from one of our Mighty Writers:
It smelled like chlorine as Charlene and I were walking into the Gershman Y. No wonder. We were walking into a pool. We sat in the first front row where there was no water. Urban Scuba was an impressive must-see dance show. Four dancers: three men and one woman. A big plastic bag covered one side of the pool. As the music got louder the dancers—wearing leotards, jackets and hats—began to knock off the plastic. Urban Scuba was based on how the Earth got polluted. In one part they dropped peanuts—which represented trash—in the pool. One of the dancers pretended to be a bug, ate the peanuts and turned into a nasty disgusting beetle. The point was clear. Urban Scuba was a great show, very timely. (Jasmine Alston)
