What was your favorite book as a kid? “Apple Tree Cottage,” by Virginia Frances Voight. I loved imagining myself in a different time and place. Perhaps this is why I divide my time between Center City and an 18th century farmhouse in South Jersey.
“Working with the kids at Mighty Writers is fun and very rewarding. Every week is a new adventure.”
Who influenced you to care about writing and how did they do it? My mother, a high school writing teacher and a college writing professor, all encouraged me by both praising and critiquing my writing.
What was the last book you read and what did you think of it? “Night.” by Elie Wiesel. It is intense, profound, moving, a real treasure.
What is your favorite thing to write now? After years of business writing, writing now is mostly notes to keep in touch with family, friends and former colleagues. Perhaps there is a blogger in me.
What keeps you coming back to MW? It’s fun and very rewarding. Every week is a new adventure.
